Summertime Saga Apk is an open-world dating game. You have to complete a series of quests so you can progress in the story and meet the other characters, many of them will be available to form a relationship with.
The game is designed with girls in mind; therefore, boys may feel like they’re not part of the character pool (even though if you look hard enough, you might find a couple of boys). The game is designed as an open-world RPG similar to the now-classic Harvest Moon.
But why, you may ask; what makes this game different from all those other dating Sims? This article will list and describe some of the most exciting features that make Summertime Saga stand out from the crowd.
Alternate Choices Stories APK
Features of Summertime Saga APK
The game is an open world
You can roam around the whole map, there are no restrictions or invisible walls that stop you from walking wherever you want to go. Of course, some areas will be closed due to quests and storyline reasons but all of them will be available progressively through the game.
There are girls!
Some people may think of a “girl only” game as a bit degrading towards boys, but this is not the case. There will be boys available to form a relationship with too!
The biggest map ever created for a dating sim
At the beginning of the game, you’ll get access to only one area of the map (the resort). You’ll have to complete a series of quests that will progress in the story and allow you to unlock new areas around the island. As time goes by, more areas – each one bigger than the previous one – will be available for exploration
Day/night cycle and dynamic weather system
This is probably the most important feature when you think of where and when to do certain quests in order to advance in the game (and get a “good” ending). The cycle goes from morning, noon, and night and there’s also different weather dependent on the area.
NPCs with schedules
There will be many NPCs around the island that go for a walk or head to their jobs, each one with unique behaviors and routines.
Non-linear main storyline
As I said before, the game is open-world so you can choose which quests you want to complete in order to advance in the story. There are many different ways of completing a quest leading to different endings.
In fact, you can finish the main storyline without even starting a single relationship.
Quests and dialogue
As with another dating Sims, the quests will be very important to advance in the main story and progress your relationships with different characters. Unlike many other games, you’ll have to answer some questions during the dialogue that might change depending on who you’re talking to.
Many different minigames
The game will feature some minigames like puzzles, cards, and other types of games you can play with NPCs. All of them will be very simple and easy to learn/play which makes the game more enjoyable than just reading text all day long (although this aspect is still very important).
Relationship points, levels, and skills
All your relationships are rated in points with each character you have a relationship with. These points are split between romantic interest, trust, and lust (and the type of relationship you’re having will change depending on how high these three values are). As time goes by, different events will happen with the different characters to raise or lower these values. These events won’t only require basic game skills to win them but also other types of “skills” like observation, courage, and creativity, and so on.
Many unique locations
The map is one of the biggest ever created for a dating sim (excluding RPGs) including a beach, a forest, a farm, a valley, and many more!
Daily events that depend on the day of the week and also weather
Every day you’ll have specific events taking place in Summertime Saga. These events will happen even if you’ve completed all main quests or have not started any relationships yet. They can be anything from a beautiful sunset to a party on the beach.
Hardcore mode for “Hard Core” gamers
The game has an option to play in a hardcore mode where pretty much everything is enabled. This means there will be no saving, only one life and if your character dies… you start from scratch! Of course, this option can be disabled if you don’t like it.
No DRM or Microtransactions
There will be no DRM (Digital Rights Management) on the game and there won’t be any microtransactions either, ever! Your only expenses will be the game itself and maybe some DLCs for new characters in the future.
100% Free!
The game will be free and it will stay forever like that! I hate microtransactions and DRM as much as you do, which is why there won’t be any of those in the game. However, there might be some small DLCs (free or paid) with new characters, etc. since this is a 100% indie game.
Since there are so many features, the game will have to be split into multiple episodes. You can already buy Episode 1 of Summertime Saga for 0.50 cents on itch.io (and other distributions in the future). Note that this is just an alpha version and not easily playable yet, but it’s free! It includes many different characters, locations, and quests that you’ll be able to play with.
